Force Reconnaissance Company is 1st Reconnaissance Battalions designated unit for all of 1RB's Special Operations capable personnel. In order to become designated as FRC personnel, a Marine must make it through Force Reconnaissance Company "Mission Training Plan"/"MTP". One of the longest processes in all of the Military. Not only must the Marine become and meet all MARSOC Special Operations personnel standards, but they must also grasp the full scope of Reconnaissance Operations, both "Green" and "Black".
MISSION
Force Reconnaissance Company bases their mission around two aspects of combat; KEY HOLE and STING RAY. Standing for Deep Reconnaissance and Direct Action. Maintaining our presence on the battle field means moving and closing with the enemy until they have been destroyed. FORECON personnel are all Special Forces qualified.
MISSION TRAINING PLAN
There are five phases within the MTP a Marine must complete in order to become Force Reconnaissance Company Personnel. Becoming FRC personnel comes with a great deal of responsibility. The Marine will be responsible for the training of all new FORECON personnel as well as the training of all CSOs.
